πŸ“– Daily Reading Plan

Day 1: The Temple of God

Reading: 1 Corinthians 3:16-17, 6:19-20
Devotional: Today we reflect on the profound truth that our bodies are temples of the Holy Spirit. Just as the ancient Corinthians were surrounded by physical temples, we too are surrounded by worldly influences. Yet Paul reminds us that we are set apart, holy vessels for God’s presence. How does this change your perspective on your daily choices? Consider how you can honor God through your body today, whether in what you eat, how you rest, or how you use your physical energy. Remember, you were bought at a price – the precious blood of Christ. Let this motivate you to glorify God in your body and spirit.

Day 2: Fleeing Idolatry

Reading: 2 Corinthians 6:14-18, Ezekiel 8:5-18
Devotional: The Corinthians struggled with idolatry, much like the Israelites in Ezekiel’s time. Today, our idols may look different – success, appearance, comfort – but they still draw our hearts away from God. Reflect on areas in your life where you might be placing something above God. What would it look like to “come out and be separate” in those areas? God promises to be a Father to us when we turn from idols. How can you actively choose God over worldly temptations today?

Day 3: The Gospel Message

Reading: Revelation 14:6-7, 1 Corinthians 10:31
Devotional: The first angel’s message calls us to fear God, give Him glory, and worship the Creator. This echoes Paul’s exhortation to do everything for God’s glory. In a world full of distractions, how can you intentionally bring glory to God today? Whether in your eating, drinking, or any other activity, consider how each action can be an act of worship. How might this perspective transform your daily routines into sacred offerings to God?

Day 4: Guarding the Avenues of the Soul

Reading: Proverbs 4:23-27, Philippians 4:8
Devotional: We’re called to guard the avenues of our soul – what we see, hear, and experience. In our digital age, this is more challenging than ever. Take time to inventory your media consumption, conversations, and thoughts. Are they aligned with what is true, noble, right, pure, lovely, and admirable? Choose one area to focus on today, consciously filtering your experiences through the lens of Philippians 4:8. How does this change your interaction with the world around you?

Day 5: Stewardship of Our Bodies

Reading: Romans 12:1-2, 1 Thessalonians 5:23
Devotional: As stewards of the bodies God has given us, we’re called to present them as living sacrifices. This involves caring for our physical health, but goes beyond that to a holistic transformation of mind and spirit. Reflect on how you can offer your whole self – body, mind, and spirit – to God today. Consider making one positive change in how you care for your physical health, knowing that this too is an act of worship. Pray for God to sanctify you completely, recognizing that true health encompasses your entire being.
