Bunbury Youth, have you ever considered that God has placed you right where you are for a purpose? We often think of mission work as something that happens overseas, but what if God is calling you to be a missionary in your own city? Acts 1:8 reminds us, “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes on you; and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the ends of the earth.” Our “Jerusalem” is right here in Bunbury, and we are called to reach our friends, neighbors, and classmates with the love of Jesus.
Seeing Bunbury Through God’s Eyes
Every city has people who are hurting, searching for meaning, and longing for hope. Bunbury is no different. Whether it’s your school, workplace, or sports club, there are people around you who need to know that Jesus loves them. We often underestimate the power of small acts of kindness—listening to someone who is struggling, inviting a friend to youth group, or simply living out our faith in a way that attracts others to Christ. Jesus saw the cities He entered not just as places, but as opportunities for transformation. He looked at people with compassion, seeing their potential rather than their brokenness. When the disciples hesitated, He reminded them, “Do not be afraid; from now on you will fish for people” (Luke 5:10). The same promise applies to us today.

People don’t just want to hear about God’s love; they want to see it in action. As we serve and love others unconditionally, doors will open for spiritual conversations.

- Live a Life That Reflects Jesus – Your kindness, honesty, and love can be a powerful testimony.
- Be Intentional in Relationships – Get to know your neighbors, classmates, and coworkers. Ask about their lives and genuinely care.
- Invite Someone to Church or Youth Group – A simple invitation can change someone’s life.
- Serve the Community – Volunteer at a local charity, help a neighbor in need, or get involved in outreach events.

We don’t need to wait for a perfect moment or feel fully prepared—God will use us as we are. As Jesus said in Matthew 5:14, “You are the light of the world. A town built on a hill cannot be hidden.”
